Update from Settings inside the app rather than installing over the top. That path preserves your library, watch history and downloads.
- Release notes
-
- Fixes the server changing itself mid-episode. Twenty seconds of buffering used to be treated as the server failing: it was dropped, marked unavailable and swapped for another, often a worse one. The stream is now retried in place first, and a stall never marks a server bad or removes it from the list.
- A call now pauses the video on embed servers instead of playing underneath it. Unplugging headphones pauses too.
- Settings has a search field: type any setting, or a word for it, and it opens the section holding it. It remembers what you searched and completes it next time.
- Video quality is a slider, ordered Auto to 1080p, instead of a list of rows.
- One-tap Sub/Dub switching in the player's Audio section; it keeps the server you are on when that server has both.
- Player settings open as a side panel on TV, tablets and landscape phones, leaving the picture visible.
- A double-tap anywhere plays and pauses. The ten-second double-tap seek is gone; use the drag or the -10s/+10s buttons.
- MyAnimeList progress can no longer report an episode past a season's finale.
Installing
-
Open the file
Tap the download notification, or open Files → Downloads and tap
Anilili.apk. -
Allow this one install
Android will ask once whether your browser may install apps. Turn on Allow from this source, then come back. This permission is per-app, not system-wide.
-
Confirm
Tap Install when Android asks Do you want to install this app?, then Open.
-
Install Downloader on your TV
Install Downloader (AFTVnews) from the Amazon Appstore or Google Play on your TV — it is the standard tool for this and it has a working on-screen keyboard.
-
Enter this page’s address
In Downloader, enter this page’s address and select
Anilili_tv.apk. The address is deliberately short, which makes it considerably quicker to enter with a remote. -
Allow the install
Fire TV: Settings → My Fire TV → Developer options → Install unknown apps → enable it for Downloader. Android TV asks you directly instead.
-
Confirm
Choose Install, then Open. Delete the APK afterwards if you want the space back.
